Rental Housing Ordinance

The City of Nashwauk has adopted a rental housing ordinance establishing standards for rental properties within the community. The ordinance is intended to ensure that rental housing is safe, well-maintained, and compliant with applicable health and safety requirements.

In conjunction with adopting these standards, the City has also established a cap on the number of rental licenses that may be issued. At this time, that cap has been reached. As a result, the City will not be issuing any additional rental licenses unless and until an existing licensed rental property is removed from the program or the cap is otherwise modified by the City.

Property owners and prospective landlords are encouraged to contact the City for further information regarding the ordinance, licensing requirements, and any future updates related to rental housing availability.
